Hagrid Is Going Places

I was did a small series called Hagrid is Going Places. I had the lego Hagrid in my coat pocket and then my purse for months (he's still in my purse actually), and I would occasionally take him out and take his picture! I may get into it again. In the mean time, here are the pictures.

On my brother's new truck

On my novel

In front of an aquarium at the dentist (I should of put him in the chair!)

Restaurant in Port Huron, MI (Kate's Downtown)

At a restaurant in Fenton, MI (The Laundry)

Think I should do more? If I do, I'll make the shots from further away, give a better sense of location and environment, which is most of the fun!

New Harry Potter covers

Fifteenth anniversary cover editions of Harry Potter!

I know I have a few copies of Harry Potter already but, these covers are by Kazu Kibuishi, who wrote the Amulet graphic novel series I have. When I was reading the series I was noticing how the art style and story type was similar to on of my favorites, Studio Ghibli/ Hayao Miyazaki. Turns out, Kazu is greatly influenced by Ghibli!

The cover of Harry Potter has a similar style/look, which I really like! So yes, I kind of want them.

4/642 Things to Write About

Something you had that was stolen:

First off, I should say I assume it was stolen. Part of something being stolen is generally not knowing what happened to an item. I know there are several things and instances where a person would know their object was stolen, why it was stolen, and who it was stolen by. A lot of times you watch someone do the stealing.

I guess what I'm saying is that my small story is more of an assumption. I generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I just can't come up with another explanation.

Something I had that was stolen. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD went "missing" when I was living in the dorms in college. it was in its case, and then it wasn't! I know there was a lot of borrowing of dvds and things, I never expected to not have my movie returned to me. I'm guessing someone borrowed it in honesty, then someone took it from them. I still have the case.

Harry Potter! Don't mess with my HP collection. Ok, they did, and got away with it. But, I got a new one from my parents as a gift, they became pretty cheap after all. I'll never forget, though. Someone took my Harry Potter film.
