It's not done yet, but I took a few pictures and I would like to share. As surprising as it may be, having it all cheerful and cute and happy is inspiring! A lot of my stuff has darker tones. With Peculiar Girl, I try to do a lot of senses, and what has more HELLO THERE senses, than Christmas?!
I'll tell you what there is! Picture of Husband and I from 2008, I think. Vintage beaded Christmas bells, Hello Kitty Christmas house toy, Hello Kitty TY and a Momiji Doll - A Christmas carol. My family calls me their Christmas carol, hehe.
(Then there are some Harry Potter and LOTR/Hobbit legos and POP toy. Also some xmas S&P shakers. Then my Studio Ghibli collection, with some pixar, disney and other animated movies)
Here's a close up of the bells, hello kitties and the momiji doll.
All sorts here! This is my main display (besides the tree). On the top are vintage tins and boxes, a vase from Ikea filled with ornaments and a goofy Santa head, along with a vintage Merry Christmas pick. You can also see my latest and largest bottle brush tree. It has mercury glass ornaments in it, and of course a red base! All my vintage bottle brush trees have a red base.
I'm not done decorating, keep that in mind! Next down is another tin, a Christmas corsage, and on the right is an amazing Santa teapot! His list of who is naught and nice is the handle!
Next shelf down are my Christmas girls, lots of bottle brush trees in different shades and sizes (with red bases), and my Mr. and Mrs. Claus sets. They're so cute.
The bottom shelf are my Reindeer. they're all vintage except on the far left, from Target last year. They have more there this year, may have to get one!
Here you can see most of my vintage putz houses (made in occupied Japan in case you didn't know. They're cheap, cardboard, but so cute. They have spots in the back where you can put lights.) I normally create a scene, with my tiny Santa and Mrs. Claus on ice skates, with some bottle brush trees. They're all in the corner cabinet for now. We'll see!
You can see on the right, a vintage box that looks like a chimney! I love that box.
I wrote a lot, I know. I hope you enjoyed my little Christmas Decor tour. More to come! I have the TV area,, and all my bookshelves (just the two really). Then, when they're all up, I'll do a special post to show all my Christmas garlands, of which i have many, and special things scattered around. I'll also do one on the tree, which has so many amazing, fun, different little ornaments on it!
I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR.
What kind of decorations do you have? What do you collect? Are you looking for anything special this year? I'm hoping to find a new vintage glass tree topper. I break one every year, without fail, so I have to find them at a really good price.
